I have a similar problem with my system. My audio card is Audigy, but if I put on hardware acceleration (Radeon 32DDR) my audio starts skipping and buzzing. This is with Dolby Digital, not DTS. Hmmmm........
my audigy does the samething with the buzzing. try clicking analog sound card button then apply then click s/sdif button and apply, buzzing stops and plays 5.1 sound.it's a pain in the ass but it works.also it does it in xp and win 2000. i haven't been able to get 5.1 to work in win98.for those interested in buying windvd4 .don't
WinDVD 3.1 plays my buddies wedding DVD-R just fine, but in WinDVD 4.0 the speed of both audio and video is too fast and the sound has pops and cracks.
