My Dad has alot of old videos that he would like to put on dvd, with out it costing to much, i have a Winfast TV 2000 XP and a video player, any one have some links that explains converting VHS to DVD and any insite as of how i'd go out it, cables i'd need etc? (some of the cables that comes with a Winfast TV 2000 XP i don't have so i will have to purchase new ones, so i need to know the names of the cables that i need . )

Taggin' along with this one. I'm in the exact same books as you. Just got a DVD burner, and have the same tv tuner card as you.
The way I look at it, is just to wire the VHS to the video (if possible) and hit record. However, when it comes to compression, etc etc, I'm still learning.
