Does the WinTV-HD install WDM drivers in WinXP?

Reason for asking is to determine if Windows Media Encoder will see the card. I currently have the WinTV-D and WME won't see the card because the WinTV-D uses older DirectShow drivers.

WME sees my ati AIW Radeon just fine and I can encode live off the card. I would like to do the same off the WinTV-HD ... wmv files are easier to manage than large transport stream files.

For now I'm stuck with .avi capture using DivX 5.0 off the WinTV-D, and then transcoding the captured file using Windows Media Encoder to .wmv format for use on PocketPC's. It would really be handy to just encode live off the card to wmv format.

BHeld,

I sent a note to Hauppauge tech support about 6 months ago asking the samequestion about WDM dirvers

The answer I got back was that they had no plan to do so.

Although I have seen no formal announcement of such, the WinTV-HD and WinTV-D appear to be dead products.
