wireless music setup help

I have ~60GB of music on my PC (XP). I have a linksys wireless G set up for another PC in the house. I use windows media player. I listen mainly to 3 playlists. each with about 600 songs. (slow jams, upbeat and hiphop). Currently they play via my logitech 5.1 Z500 in the bedroom/office upstairs. I want to get the music downstairs to my new 5.1. (Yamaha RXV661).

My tv cabinet only has enough open space for my receiver, center channel, and dvd player. I have my directv, a vcr and a PS2 behind a cabinet door. This works well because I use an RF remote for the Directv, and the other 2 aren't used that much.

I've thought of getting the Linksys wireless music bridge, and couple that with a random RF remote that controls media player, just to advance past a song. but that does limit what I can do/search without running up and downstairs.

I'm intrigued by ROKU and/or squeezebox. Would probably be exactly what I want if they had RF remotes (again, behind a cabinet door).

What options do I have that I'm not considering, or stick with one of the above?

don't be shy. looking for anything...
I don't think that I've seen any that have RF remotes. You could always pick up an RF remote repeater systems or put in a hard-wired IR repeater system.
If you got money to spend, you can also look at a Sonos ...

If you go with Roku, get an IPaq and install visualMR, I think it should do the job.

But this is only because you want to control the device by RF.

You can control a squeezebox with a Logitech Harmony 890 remote which has an RF capability. I have two Squeezeboxes. One in BR and another in LR, and they are fantastic.
