If you are up to the challenge, could someone please write a detailed, step by step guide on how to set up and connect a wireless network to work with modem and PS3?
Most of you who have responded in this section are experienced at using routers, bridges, adaptors, and access points. Some of us do not know the difference between equipment and how to use in home networking. For example, should we "flash" using third party FW or DD-WRT? How about suggestions for small residential (10-30 feet distance from modem to PS3), medium (30-70 feet distance) and large (70-120 feet) or extended (120+ feet) set ups?
What would be helpful is to explain what a person needs to do from the date of purchase of routers/bridges/access points/game adaptors) to setting up system. what security protocol steps are recommended (listing the difference in performance and potential conflicts with PS3)?
Thanks
