Hello,

In an effort to satisfy my wife with respect to her redecorating ideas, she'd like me to get rid of my stand speakers and mount small-factor speakers on the corners our our living room. All that being said, I'm looking for suggestions for speakers that meet the following criteria (in order of importance):

• Wall-mountable
  
• Small-form factor (like Bose's "Acoustimass" speakers)
  
• White or light gray
  
• 50% the cost of Bose
  
  
• Wireless (minimum importance)

Any suggestions?

Good thing you didn't include good sound as one of the criteria. Makes it more likely you will get a useful response (although not from me).

OP, what do you have currently? Forget wireless, forget Bose style, look into ERA D3 or D4 with nice real wood finish, these speakers are made for your situation: OOH, Pretty speakers!

Mounting in corners is difficult. Most speakers are not designed for that purpose. I don't think you'll find any good options as small as the Bose Acoustimass satellites. You will need to equalize (like through Audyssey) the response to dial down the response below 1000 Hz because of the lower midrange and upper bass reinforcement that will occur as a result of corner placement. The two speakers I think come closest to your goals, except for size and wireless, would be:

If you can get the speakers out of the corners, there are a bunch of on-wall designs that would serve your purposes.


In terms of wireless, there are some wireless transmitters from various companies, including Audioengine, JBL, Rocket Fish, Kef, etc.
