Wireless Subwoofer

Good Morning,

I'm looking to either purchase a wireless subwoofer or a wireless kit and need help.

First here is my situation.

I have my living room TV connected to a new Marantz 1504 receiver.  I am using 6 Orb Audio speakers, grouped in pairs, in a Left, Right, Center setup at the moment.

My living room is pretty small and I want something that with help with movies, XM, Pandora, etc.  I'm thinking of something in the 8" to 10" range.

In order to put the sub in a corner and in a discrete location, I would have to run wires across the room.  I do not with to do so.

So my questions are.......

Is their a solid wireless subwoofer that doesn't cost over $400?

Is their a kit that would allow my to make any subwoofer wireless?

Thank you,

There are definitely wireless subwoofer kits, and I'm sure you'll do better getting a wired budget sub and a kit than an all-in-one. I'm not experienced with any of the kits, but somebody will have a recommendation.

You will probably also be warned that subwoofer performance is tied to placement, and to consider your options for positioning.

What are your room dimensions, and is the room sealable with doors, or is it open to other areas?

Thank you for the feedback.  My living room is ~18 x 13 and has openings to the hallway and kitchen.  There are no "corners" on the side of the room where the TV is as this is where those opening are.

Thanks again,
Well, a subwoofer has to work with the entire area open to it, so you will nor be getting one that will perform to its fullest considering the room you have. I did a search, it appears the rocketfish wireless unit is fine, at $60, so that leaves $400 for your sub. You can either spend up to that budget, with the understanding that you'll need a second eventually to enjoy its potential, or buy two lesser subs. You'd be looking at something like BIC F12s, Dayton SUB1200s and the like. It sounds like you're already having trouble placing one sub, so I don't know if two will work. If you're absolutely limited to one sub, you'll need to up the budget to get one that is capable of filling your space.
