Even though I have tried to prepare myself, the wiring in our new house has begun. The issue I have is how much I can spend on a system at this point, so I am planning wiring to compensate for most systems. In each room I am running Cat 5e from each speaker location along with 16/4 wire and having the installer run a service loop around each volume control/keypad location. He then will continue with a home run of both wire to the basement (central location.) In the end, this should allow any system to be installed when we get the money (or our current house sells)
Anything I am missing??
I called Netstreams today and was told for any local amp I should run an additional Cat 5e to the speakers from the source so I can listen to both systems. But not knowing the price of the Digilinx system or the Polk Speakers makes me wonder if I should bother....
All of this is getting stressful to me, so I am asking for your help!!!!
