WISELINK hangs my xx87

I finally tried out the WISELINK function on my 5087W yesterday and the results were not good.


I first tried to view pictures from my Canon SD 320 camera via a USB cable ... no joy, the TV couldn't even recognize the device even after trying multiple times.


Then I tried to view images from my Sandisk Cruzer Titanium 512MB flash drive: On the first attempt, the TV gave me an error to the effect that it could not recognize the drive and then proceeded to "crash the TV"! The screen froze and no matter what I pressed on the TV or on the remote, there was absolutely no response. I pressed the power button on the remote to turn it off and turn it back on again ... no luck the screen was still frozen - OK! I proceeded to unplug the TV and plug it back in again upon which the TV started up with some whining noises and came up after 15 seconds or so.


I tried the same procedure again and this time the TV recognized the device. I selected it and went to the next screen where I clicked on the photos link. The tv game me an hourglass with the text "Loading" and proceeded to hang again with no response whatsoever. I had to powercycle again and then checked my flash drive on my computer itself. No problem whatsoever, there are quite a bit of files on the drive with images in one of the folders but it shouldn't be a reason for the TV to just mysteriously hang!


Has anyone else experienced this problem? Anyone know what the solution to this is? I don't care too much that the WISELINK is not working as the interface seems kind of slow and clunky and I already have a PC connected to the TV but it would be nice to get it to work.
