I'm looking down the barrel at buying WIZARD OF OZ and GONE WITH THE WIND again on blu-ray, but do I really wanna pay $60-$80 for box of stuff I probably won't look at more than once or twice? I see that the UK is getting stripped-down 2-disk versions of both for a fraction of the price, and frankly I'm tempted to just get these though I don't know what's on those two disks.

Anyone else think an Emerald City wrist-watch is just some piece a junk they'd give to some niece or nephew, but can't because it would devalue the stupid box-o-stuff?

I'm not even sure I wanna cough up the shelf-space for all this stuff? I'm guessing we will also get the double-disk only boxes down the road, but I don't want to wait a year like we are for the affordable CASABLANCA.

If it's a Warner owned property then they always make one version for the entire world. So the two BD discs will be identical to the two in the US version. Fortunately Warner always gets region coding right - free.

I think I'm going to import too, those Ultimate edition boxes aren't shaped to fit anywhere appropriate.

Amazon UK says this is a 5 disc set.

If the material in the ultimate editions mostly just copies the material that is in the 3 disc collectors DVD boxset i have and if it's in standard definition then i think i'll hang on to my 3 disc set and just upgrade the main movie to Blu Ray.

Depends on that for me. I know there may be a few additions to the extra material but that 3 disc collectors DVD boxset has a lot of material in it.

Anyone know if some of the additional disks are DVDs, and therefor PAL DVDs? It might make a difference to some. I may just keep my last DVD boxed set and go for the movie-only on BD.

It's hard for me to believe that the UK GWTW is on 5 disks for such a small price, unless only one or two was a BD.
