Take the perfomance slider and slide it 1 notch from teh left - it will be 5x faster and I dare you to tell the difference


What bit rates qare you using? Have you tried 2-pass?

No, it would be 50% slower


However, I find if you use the perfroamnce slider 1 notch from teh left 2-pass is just as fast as VBRq with the highest quality setting aand you get get bit rates down.
