Hi all.

When I playback HD content above 720p it stutters. I just found

out that it isn't CPU related, because I took a HDD from another computer

and played it from there(Matrix revo. trailer), with no stutter at all. Then

I tried from a CD, and there was stutter again. Is there any way to

increase 'buffer' or anything? I have 256Mb DDR RAM.

Thanks,

Nicholas

What is the max bitrate of the clip? What is the speed of the CD-Rom? Is it a CAV or a CLV?

Cheers,

Definitely check your cpu utilization. It was pretty obvious on my tests running the "Liquid" demo in the two available versions on my XP2100+ system. I can run the 5.5mb/s version without stutters but the 6.9mb/s version stutters. Where the 5.5mb/s version peaks at about 70% usage, the 6.9 mb/s version will peak and stutter at around 100%.

"Make sure you have Windows Media Player 9."

:)

My specs are:

AMD XP 2.4ghz (set to 2.1ghz, how much is that in the 'real' world?)

256 DDR

Radeon 9500

I'll check mu CPU usage when I get home.

Thanks,

Nich
