I have converted all of my family videos shot with canon HD video camera to wmv HD format. each file is about 2-4gigs. The playback is fine. only problem is when rewinding or fastforwarding the computer freezes.
I tried playback within VMC media player, arcsoft totalmedia theater 3 platinium and windows mwdia player wwith the same result.
i tried installing avccore codec without any effect.
AMD 9550x4
asus mobo with 8300 graphic chipset.
2 gig ram.
4 x 750gig harddisk.
vista x86.
any ideas what would be causing this.
