TI paid for that credit by providing projectors and technical assistance for the Oscars' production. I am a DLP fan, just wanted to let everyone know that it wasn't just the Academy being nice to TI! It is good to see anything that increases exposure to the technology behind our gear.

Oh yeah, I assmumed it was in trade for all those screens everywhere. I've never seen that much video on a set. it was just cool to know it was DLP.

What's a shout-out?
"Shout-out" is when you give credit or acknowledgement of a person, place, or thing to a crowd or audience.

Example: An individual being interviewd on radio might say "I'd like to give a shout-out to my friend Joe." Joe has been acknowledged.

Example2: On the award show they say "The projectors used during this show utilize DLP technology." In this case a 3d party might say: "Hey they gave a shout-out to dlp!" meaning they gave credit to DLP.
yeah, the stage was killer, i dug the ceiling display tiles, that was pretty cool
Thanks EHUFF!

I've never heard of that term before.

It's part of my repertoire of old-guy-tries-to-be-gangsta-jargon at the studio... when a 40 year old says it it's so lame it's cool. Other fine phrases are "Peace out!" (when you leave) and "yo, you feeling me?" (do you understand what I'm trying to say?) :D :D :D
