I've only used the 6412 and it's nice being able to record to (2) HD shows at once. Unfortunately, I've also lived with a ReplayTV 5040 and miss it too much. I've heard the Moxi compared to Tivo and if it is anything like it, you'll probably enjoy the Moxi more.

Won a free DVR: I-Guide or Moxi?
I won a contest through our cable company for a year of digital programming. We currently have a Hitachi 42" LCD HDTV (with cablecard)...but I've never used, or considered a DVR prior to winning one.
Our choices are: either the I-Guide DCT 6412 or the Moxi BMC 9012. I've tried to scan the threads on this forum-but realize learning the pro's and cons might be faster asking for your opinions!
