World of WarCraft is now $19.99 (U.S.A. dollars)

...and then $14.99 every month for as long as you want to play.


With all the great new MMOs due out in the next couple of months (Warhammer, Vanguard, LoTRO, Age of Conan) I'm happy playing the free trials and saving my money. There are a bunch of free trials and betas going on right now that don't cost a thing. Check out mmorpg.com.

I hope I never pay a monthly fee to game.


Not because I think it's unethical, but because I know my social life will suffer severly.

Yeah I think it's really cheap now because the x-pac is supposedly coming in November.


I must caution that this game is VERY ADDICTIVE. If you like to PvP then stay away or kiss your RL goodbye.


Hehe... I've leveled a 60 Undead Warlock and a 60 Dwarf Hunter but I let my subscription lapse until the x-pac hits. Then there will be a new continent, new content and I will be leveling my final character. A Bloodelf Priest!


Not to bash the new games coming out but I seriously doubt they are anything close to WoW. Well see... BTW, I'm a console gamer convert.

Please tell me you guys caught South Park this week. if you are into ANY MMORPG but especially WOW you may pee your pants laughing. If you never watch SP (who are these people) do yourself a favor and watch this weeks episode.

I can only imagine how funny the southpark will be. I'll try and catch it for sure. There are already jokes amongst Warcrafters. When I was in a large raiding guild I had to *Schedule* time to play. Molten Core and Black Wing Lair for hours at a time. I enjoy the PvP aspect much more. Anyway this game is a sickness. I have made it three weeks now without renewing my subscription. I think I'm going to sell my character and wait for the expansion. I CAN DO IT!!!

The Southpark episode was damn funny. It can be seen fairly easily on the net btw

That's why I stopped playing WoW, PVP ranking was bad from day one but was then completely ruined by cross-realm BGs, and raiding is for people with no lives. They've completely redone PVP in Burning Crusade so I may pull my GM mage out of mothballs to check it out, but the way they've arbitrarily made huge changes in the past makes me leery of investing any more time, to say the least!
