Would Denon 5800 be good for me?

Thinking seriously of upgrading my system and would like some input from you out there. I have a Yamaha 2092 receiver, tosh 3108 dvd player, pioneer 838 LD player, B & W Matrix 3 main speakers, B & W HTM center channel speaker, B & W 8" in wall surrounds, Mirage BPS150i subwoofer and a pioneer elite 510 TV. Want to start with the receiver. Been looking at separates but my wife does not like "...all those boxes". Looked at receivers and the one most recently I looked at and liked alot is the denon 5800. Would this be a good way to go or would you suggest another direction?
