I’m looking to upgrade from Denon s730h to a Denon x3300w selling for $400 but brought down price to $300. I know receivers/amps/electronics in general can break. But would you go for it?

Accessories-for-less has the refurb x3500h for $500. Pretty much looking to acquire the Audyssey xt32.

My setup: 7.2/
Klipsch Rc 62 II center /
Fronts Rf 62 ref iv /
4x R-15M bookshelf /
Infinity Reference SUB R12 /
LG C8 OLED

The x3500 is newer and has a few nicer features that make it worth $200 more; 3 zones, digital sources to zone 2, earc, center channel adjust and lfc.

I don’t see myself using zones. I don’t think my lg c8 has earc so I don’t know if I’ll take advantage of it. Plus, my impression was that it’s mainly for gaming? Which I won’t be doing off this tv. Not sure what center ch adjust and lfc does. If it’s a huge difference then it might consider it.

Your tv probably has earc but it sounds like you do not need or care about any of the new features, so go with the cheapest one.

Good luck!

The x3300 does play digital sources and HDMI to Zone 2. I own one.

I've purchased multiple receivers off Craigslist but they were older and $50. Still use one of them. Also purchased a Denon 3808CI off CL for $150 and have been using it for two years now.

If the seller can demo for you then maybe take a chance. it is probably out of warranty though by now.

accessories4less actually has a new x3500 with 3 yr warranty. May want to take a look at that.

He said he replaced it with a x3600. What would be the easiest way to demo the x3300 while I’m there?
