Here in Tampa FL. Bright House Networks has announced that they will offer INHD1 and INHD2 for $6.00 per month. The Press release does describe it has an HD Tier but these are the only two stations that seem to be included for now.

Is it worth it?

How many of you would pay for it?

Had to vote no... same deal in my area, and from what I've seen the programming doesn't seem to be worth it. If they ever actually add more new channels to the so-called tier, I'll re-evaluate...

Well, in Boston we get it for free. During the baseball season, I would probably pay since that is were the NESN Sox games are broadcast on the INHD-2 channel and I have seen other HD games as well.

No, because I can get it as part of basic cable (along with my HD locals) from Comcast for a $0 extra.

If I didn't have access to Comcast, I'd probably bite the bullet and pay $6. But in general, I'd rather not pay more than $2.00 to $2.50 per quality HDTV channel.

I currently get it for free from Comcast and I have to admit it's barely worth the price. Look over several weeks of the programming guide and make your own decision. Other than Full Metal Jacket, there has not been any movies worth mentioning. Since I don't watch sports on TV I can't comment on that programming. Most of their other programming fits into the catagory of lame documentaries and demo loops. I think this link sums up INHD, http://www.inhd.com/matrix/matrix.jsp . However this is just my opinion.

Voted I'd pay it if they'd add more later. NYC's Time Warner Cable seems to cut It's All Here (6 premium groupings, current HDs, and Road Runner) customers better deals since we're shelling out more, but they won't detail HD additions. Also got the impression there are lots of INHD reruns.

Voted yes since I'm now paying Comcast $10/mo. for the digital classic package to get INHD and 20 more SD channels (20 SD channels I never watch). You guys who get it free from Comcast are lucky. For me the extra cost is justified by the sports.

INHD1 & 2 are usually a waste of bandwidth, IMO.

For example, they've shown only one good movie in the last coupla weeks -- Stanley Kubrick's Full Metal Jacket -- and they showed it exactly once, in prime time, where they could be pretty sure you'd be watching some of the new shows on your local HD channels instead.

Nope no way. Only use is to demo to friends what HD looks like. Thought sports might be good.Got all excited last week when Yankee game was in HD but game was blacked out for my area. Pay $6. for black out game ? I don't think so.

Had the same reaction as others. Looked at a couple of weeks of the program guide and yawned. With the exception of Full Metal Jacket it was not very exciting. But if they showed at least one decent movie a month(and more than one time) I'd probably pony up the 6 bucks.

The only reason Comcast added this package was to build up their HD content. One of their service tech's recently told me that they plan to charge for HDTV. But they currently did not have enough channels in their line up to make a package people would pay for.

So, for now they are using INHD 1 & 2 as bate to sell their digital package. It's free with digital classic or digital plus and they wave the monthly fee for the Moto 5100.

Personnaly, I would like to see a InDemand HD pay per view service. IMO 99% of everything in HD right know is a waste of bandwidth.

If Comcast starts charging me for INHD, I'll jump ship. I'll pay only if it's part of a package including much more interesting HD channels.
