I can trade in my LN52A750 and in exchange pay 382 for the UN46B8000 or $700 for the UN46B8500. Would you do it? Is there that much of a difference or just hold onto my LN52 and deal with the exterior issues (TOC peeling).

It sounds like your contemplation says you may have the money and it wouldn't hurt too bad to spend it. I own the 8500 and I say go for it. You will not be sorry, unless you expect it to be absolutely flawless. I have to add that little disclaimer because no TV is perfect. I don't think the peeling issue is possible with the 8500.

If the only problem with your LN52A750 is cosmetic (TOC peeling), you would be foolish to trade a 52 inch panel for a 46 inch panel and have to through in an extra $700. A minor cosmetic issue is nothing compared to the real problems people have been having with failing electrolytic capacitors.

Learn to live with the slight cosmetic issue and enjoy what you have, unless there are actuall performance problems.
