So, I burned a DVD ( DVD - R ) disk on my computer, Roxi burner, of some pictures. Put in my Panasonic dvd player, message said won't play this type of disk. We're all JPEG files, what did I do wrong??

Presuming your player accepts data discs, see if it is listed here: http://www.videohelp.com/dvdplayers and read the media compatibility notes.
