Hi, since upgrading to hdtv with time warner cable, I have problem having a lot of problems with it. When I watch sports or something with more movement I am getting pixelating in it. When I watch WWE Raw on monday nights it does it really bad. Does anyone else have these issues? I cant get time warner to do anything about it. They come and say the signal is fine, and wont look at video proof of it, and are very rude. I have a sony kdl32l5000 hdtv and a scientifc atlanta 8300hdc hddvr. It is setup with a sony hdmi cable. I have switched tvs and setup boxes and it still does it. Anyone else have these problems or no anything I can do? I appreciate the help. Thanks

Sounds like they're not allotting enough bandwidth for the channel. Typical problem on cable systems that are already at or near capacity.

Agreed, they are overcompressing the channels to fit them all in which leads to pixelation and macroblocking on fast moving scenes. Any other options for providers in your area?

Hi, so then it is the cable that is causing all the pixelating problems. So none of you have this problem when watching WWE Raw on Monday nights at 9pm? I have already been thinking about changing to directv. Do you know if they are a lot better? Thanks for the help.

I'm sure other people have this problem too, you're not the only one on a bandwidth starved cable network I'm sure.

I personally don't watch Raw, I can tell you my in-laws had similar problems with Comcast, you'd see pixelation on fast movie scenes on a lot of their HD channels. They just upgraded to FIOS last week but I haven't had a chance to see it. I'd bet their PQ is a lot better now since FIOS isn't bandwidth starved. I have Directv myself and I think my PQ is better then their's was when they had Comcast.
