Hi,

I'm considering buying such a color meter.

The specifications only say 'Monitor' calibration.

Does this mean I will not be able to use it for my LCD TV or Projector?

Or does what you can calibrate only depend on the software you use with it?

If I buy one I want to be able to calibrate my TV, monitor and Projector.

Otherwise it is too expensive to buy a different device for each display device.

The meter itself is fine for monitor and projector calibration. However, the software that comes with it is only used to build calibration profiles for use with a computer's video card. It's fine if you're going to use an HTPC as your sole source, but not so good if you aren't. You'll need other software such as CalMAN or HCFR to calibrate displays such as TVs and HT projectors.

Sorry for bringing back an old thread here.

Would the x-rite colormunki smile be a good color meter to use for projector calibration with HCFR?

Or would the X-Rite I1 Display Pro be the minimal best one to use?
