I just picked up a cheap x1650 card for the kid's computer, and hooked it up to the standard CRT monitor by VGA. Fine, no problem. The latest full ATI software suite is installed BTW. I hooked up component cables to the HTDV 7-pin port, and connected to my 32" Panasonic LX70 LCD. The screen turned black as if there is a connection, but Windows refuses to send the video signal when I select the TV as the primary monitor either in Catalyst or Advanced Display Properties. It will flash for a second, then switch back to the PC monitor. What's really odd is that starting the PC sends the signal to the TV fine, but as soon as Windows fires up, it switches back to the monitor. Suggestions?
