Hi and hope some suggestions can help me get back on track with my new Infocus x2.

The problem is this:

(a) When I turn the subtitles on, the subtitles intermittently becomes distorted with lines running through it (looks "scratchy").

(b) There is a picture of the Toshiba logo (I use a toshiba DVD player) when the player is turned on and this picture is also very "scratchy"

The movies/pictures are OK and perfect when I play the DVD.

I use the composite input and both my DVD player and x2 are set at 16:9. Tried other settings and the problem is the same.

Any suggestions? or has anyone faced similar problems. I suspect it could even be the DVD player.

Thanks for your advice!

Cheers

You should use the Component (progressive or interlaced) or S-Video input.

This "scratchiness" you refer to is due to the very nature of composite video, and as long as you use it, there's nothing you can do to improve the picture.
