X3 Projector Doesn't Like DVI

OK.


Someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong.


I have a Scientific Atlanta 3250HD cable box with Time Warner.

I have and X3 projector.

I am trying to use the DVI with a DVI-D to M1 cable.


No signal. All other inputs work great. Projector keeps "SEARCHING..." for a signal. DVI port on cable box IS active.


After hooking projector up to my computer (DVI)...same thing. "SEARCHING..."

Computer works fine through VGA output.


Do I have to configure something? Does this projector do HDCP? Is my brand new cable bad?


Been everywhere, read everything.

Any info will be cherished forever.
