XA2 and Homemade DVDs

824 Views 4 Replies 5 Participants Last post by  toxic_avenger
I have been reading about the XA2 on this site - thank you for all of the helpful info. Before I pull the trigger on a new XA2, I would like to know if there have been any difficulties playing homemade DVDs (specifically DVD-Rs). I make my own short movies and burn a lot of DVDs out of DVDStudioPro.

Thanks again.

I have an XA2 and the only problems I've seen playing homemade DVDs are that sometimes it will not properly execute core menu functions like skip chapter and sometimes homemade menus don't work properly (can't navigate).

I have played a few burned DVD's, I use Nero software and Taiyo Yuden blanks, on my XA2, and all have played without any problems.
Not sure about the XA2, but my A-20 plays burned DVD's with no problem.
I've played some burns and had no problems at all with my XA2
