Xantech IR system and Stewart screen

Hi,

I want to use a Xantech infrared distribution system to distribute all control signals for my home theater. So I just ordered a Xantech 490 kit with an IR receiver, a control box, four emitters, and a power supply.

I'm planning to buy a Stewart Model A Electriscreen and want to control it with the Xantech. I know you can get an IR control package from Stewart, but it has its own IR receiver and I want to have the Xantech receiver drive it instead. What's the right way to hook this up:

1) Can I drive the 12V screen trigger input of the projector with the output of the Xantech control box? (X sensor -> X control box -> S screen trigger)

2) If I buy the Stewart low voltage control box, can I drive the low voltage input with the output of the Xantech control box? (X sensor -> X control box -> S control box)

3) Or should I do the thing that seems silly, but I know will work: buy the Stewart low voltage control box and infrared sensor, and drive it with an infrared emitter out of the Xantech control box? (X sensor -> X control box -> X emitter -> S sensor -> S control box)

4) Or is there an even better solution?

Thanks,

-Mike

Dear Mr. Anderson,

You seem to know what you are doing.

Your answer # 3 is correct. Buy a Stewart IR Control and follow your answer # 3.
