Hi Guys,

New to the forum. I have something thats been bugging me that I cant figure out. I have a 1080p projector; if I play xbox1s on it, will the picture be better quality or do I need to hook it into my 4KHD tv to notice a difference?

than... a regular Xbox One?

Rod Fergusson (director for Gears of War 4) says that the Xbox One S has better hardware (minor improvements over the original Xbox One) which will be reflected as less hiccups in framerate, etc. etc. It won't be a dramatic improvement with a 1080P TV.

It's the HDR that will set the Xbox One S from the Xbox One. And that requires a TV that supports HDR10. It will also support 4K upscaling for gaming. As well as native 4K video playback.

But people have raved about how tiny the S, in addition to the internal power supply, so that's a big draw for people.

I can't wait to pick mine up. I bought a new Vizio just to get in on this HDR.
