I have an older xbox 360 that came with the component 1080i cable, that plugs into the xbox 360 wtih kind of a pretty big, trapezoid shaped connection thing that goes in. I'm looking for a cable that will plug into that trapezoid place on the xbox360 on one end, but then be able to send a 1080p signal through the other end, through hdmi on the other end . . . Do you know which cable i need to get?

If your TV has a PC input...get the XBOX VGA cable. It will transmit in 1080p with that. You will probably have to adjust your settings (black level to expanded), but it works. I use it on my old xbox. Works great...but not sure it's really any improvement over component. A lot depends on your tv.

What do you mean a PC input?

I have my projector connected to my AV receiver via HDMI cable. What I need is a 1080p cable to go from my xbox 360 to my AV receiver. Then the av receiver will transmit the signal to the projector.

See the input that's circled on the far right? the skinny trapezoidal one where the big thing is about to be plugged into it? I need a cable that can go from that to an HDMI input.

Here is another picture.

the input im talking about again is the right side of the picture, about middle height, and of the two inputs that are shown there, it's the bigger one, the upside down trapezoid.

I need something that will plug in there, and then plug into an HDMI input on the other side of the cable, and transmit 1080p.

What do i need to get?
