Dell often has them on sale, I'd check there.
I've been waiting on Dell to have another sale on Arcades. My current Pro model is having problems reading discs and usually takes a few ejects for it to finally read. Gets annoying. Wish I would have gotten in on the holiday deals where amazon and walmart were giving away $100 GCs with purchase.
You're not going to find the price below the $199 Microsoft hard price at a retailer, but many places will give you gift cards and incentives if you buy it from them.
A lot of times Dell has a sale and the arcades will drop to around 170. You just have to keep an eye out at one of the deal sites
i mean right now who has the best deal going on?
I saw a sign on the door of Gamestop the other day that said $25 gift card with the purcahse of an Arcade. That's a 12.5% rebate, which isn't too shabby.

Amazon is $199 with free shipping and possibly no tax, which usually trumps anything else if you're in a no-Amazon-tax area.
My best deal was a 120GB Jasper Elite

$299.99 Price Matched to FRY's to $249.99 with Free Extra Black Controller separate. - $50 Microsoft/Netflix Mail in Rebate = final price $199, for a 120GB Jasper Elite, which is the price of a Wii that was in November 2009

today best price on a 120GB Jasper Elite, is $299 but you get 2 kids game No thanks. And no extra controller.

By Christmas 2010 I expect Microsoft will keep the $299 Price of the 120GB Jasper Elite, BUT Remove the 2 Games, and Bundle a NATAL in there with a couple of NATAL games.

No idea if this is a Jasper, but it's probably the best deal you'll find now:

Why would you possibly care if it''s a Jasper?

Please, please, please don't say it has ANYTHING AT ALL to do with RRoD!*

*Unless, of course, you want to make me laugh my guts out.

Xbox 360 Arcade console -$194 - $50 GC @ Dell.com w/ FS-BCB
This deal persuaded me to pick up an Xbox for the bedroom earlier this week.....

Kmart:

Get Bioshock2 for free when you buy an Xbox 360 Arcade Console. Only $140 for the system if you planned to get the game anyway.
I got an elite 2 weeks ago from Amazon for $295 with a free extra wireless controller. Sold my old pro for $150. So I upgraded for $145, or just a bit more than a new HD would have cost me. Now I have room to copy games to the hard drive.
How do you know if you have the new Jasper? I bought a new Elite two weeks ago, does this mean I have one?

most likely you do have a Jasper, a simple fool proof way is to look under your power supply if it says 150 Watts thats a Jasper system, because those new power bricks are unique to Jaspers and only work with them.

You still paid $199 for the console and you got the game for free. You saved $59 for getting the game free but you can't apply that savings to the console as well and say it cost $140.

Wow. Your obtuse logic is surpassed only by the inane nature of your "argument."

I was merely pointing out the flaw in his logic and stating facts.

So many people on here think that when you get something like a gift card with the purchase of a console the amount of the gift card, or in his case a game, reduces the price of the console. This would only be true if the gift card could immediately be presented against the console at the time of purchase.

Lets say you have $200 cash in your pocket and you go down and buy a console for $200 and you get a $50 gift card with it. You leave the store and your pocket is empty. The next day you go back to the store and spend your $50 gift card on a game. You now have a game and a console but your pocket is still empty. The gift card did nothing to replace the $200 you spent on the console. It did net you a free game saving you another $50 out of your pocket.

It's not logic it's an explanation as to why that pocket is empty

But if you are going to buy said game anyways, your bank account is $50 richer....
