Ok bear with me, as I may not be as tech-savvy as some guys on here although I do know a thing or two.
To begin, I'm using an XBOX 360 to stream content from my PC which is running Windows 7 32Bit Ultimate. This is all hard wired through a Linksys WRT54G router.
I use Windows Media Center on the xbox, as it's super easy to use and my wife loves it (which means I love it
).
I installed Shark007 drivers on the PC in order to properly stream 720p and 1080p mkv's to the xbox, as it couldn't handle them natively.
However, 1080p content is rather sluggish and I'm pretty sure the surround sound isn't being properly decoded.
Am I doing something wrong? Surely a 100megabit connection is enough to stream 1080p content!
