XBox High Definition AV Pack?

2928 Views 19 Replies 15 Participants Last post by  WJonathan
I'm looking for the XBox High Definition AV Pack. The one with Component Video and Optical Audio Output. I've checked all the stores, including several Gamestops/EBGames as well as regular retail stores, but nobody has them anymore. Are there any good online shops that still have them?

I have both the old style with the box and the new style which look just like component cables I could ship you out a set for around $15.00 if your interested.
yea i don't use mine but ajh2298 got here first, lol.
Do both of them have Optical Audio Out? Also, which is the better of the two?

EDIT: It appears they do. It's just in a strange spot on the cable itself apart from the regular cables. Weird. Anyways, do you take PayPal? I'll probably take the newer one since I hear it's got better vid quality.
I've been looking for one of those for almost a year now. Is there any chance someone still has one available?
Take your Buy/Sell/Trade deals private, guys, because you're violating forum rules.....FYI.

PS: Check your gamestops and EB's for used High Def adapters.

Honestly I would keep checking the places like that that take trades. I stumbled upon one just about a month ago after I had a jack pull out of the original.

Ebay and Amazon can work as well.
i have one, for fifty bucks. haha, jk.

everyone find what they needed?
Yep, everything's good here.

P.S. Sorry about not taking that to PMs sooner. ^^'

A quick update. I got my XBox HDTV cables. The picture is a lot better now than it was using the composites that came with it. The jaggies on the edges of polygons are easily seen now. I also setup my XBox for Dolby Digital, and DTS. I'm actually starting to get some use out of my rear speakers now, and they'll be even more useful once my DVD player arrives tomorrrow.
Gamestop carries some cheap universal knockoffs -- component for 360/xbox/ps2/ps3. It doesn't plug in all the way into the a/v port on the xbox. I got audio but no video out. Stay away from these !

if you want one that works, PM me and you can have it, just cover the shipping...
Hey, I know this thread is a few months old already, but if anybody else has a High Definition AV Pack for the original Xbox that you're trying to get rid of, then send me a PM. I have the component cable upgrade, but it doesn't have have the optical out. Darn things are hard to find these days. Thanks.
Hey Everyone,

I'm looking for the Microsoft HD AV Pack. They're so hard to find! I'm hoping one of you have one they can sell to me.

Please PM me if you do.

Thanks,

Mel

Gamestop sells an Xbox/360/PS3/PS2 combo cable with component video. No optical output on that dongle though.

Is price the issue?

Cause simple searches at the Best Buy and Amazon web sites turned them up as in stock.

They're not hard to find.

If you're looking for just the dongle, check on ebay...

You realize we're talking about Xbox 1, right?

Just get the Monster brand. It's still widely available from a lot of liquidators pretty cheap. The Microsoft brand is too hard to find and the picture quality is the same with either (I tested a bunch of them back when I set up my old Xbox to my HDTV).
