Hi, XBOX gurus. I have a problem. I have been using the composite cable to connect my XBOX360 to my receiver. It is the cable that is supplied with XBOX, with the HD/Standard switch, green, blue and red plugs. I tried to switch to HDMI but it outputs no signal - audio or video. Here is what I tried so far:

1) Restarted XBOX

2) Connect directly to TV, bypassing the receiver

3) Tried restart all equipment

4) Tried a new cable

Nothing works. I can switch it back to composite, but HDMI does not work.

Thanks.

Read "Reset the console display settings". Chances are you are trying to spit out 1080p to an input that supports 720p/1080i as it's max, or something similar.

Also too, try changing the order in which you turn things on. HDMI is a format that hates the consumer and wants to make life as difficult for you as possible. Turn on the TV first, wait, then turn on the 360.
