I hope this is the right place to ask this question. I just purchased ab SVS sub, which has the option to connecr via XLR. My Denon receiver does not have an XLR input, however it does have RCA connections.

I found an XLR to RCA cable at Monoprice, my question is, will this work, does anyone have experience with this setup? Also is there an advantage to this on sub connection over using the dedicated sub connections?

Thank you for your time and comments

In your case there is no need and no benefits to using XLR to RCA. The only reason you would need an XLR to RCA is if the sub just had XLR. Just use a standard RCA to RCA sub cable. If your receiver had a sub XLR sub out and your sub has the XLR sub in you would have a balanced connection. This is good for very long cable runs for reducing noise. In most home installs this is not needed.
