I have no idea why you asked this question on this forum, but MLB Home Plate is alive and well on XM Chanel 175.
I think he means on Directv. They replaced it with another XM channel.
In that case, the move could have to do with MLB HP cutting to so many live game broadcasts.

Those rights, as I understand it, are not XM's to sell to DirecTV -- or anyone else.
A couple of weeks ago, DirecTV decided that they were only going to carry XM music channels, no talk. They took both MLB Home Plate and High Voltage off of the system. Subsequently, they got flooded with complaints from Opie & Anthony fans. They put High Voltage back on 5 days later.

In an e-mail reply, that I read, to an O&A fan that also complained about MLB Home Plate, Robert Mercer (DirecTV's executive vice president, Programming Acquisition) said something to the effect that putting MBL Home Plate would not be as simple as putting High Voltage back on.

Fredfa is probably correct about XM not having the rights to put a channel that cuts into live game feeds onto DirecTV.
