I have a Pio 811S receiver with Energy Take5+2 speaker set up hooked also to my 43" HD RPTV. I am trying to figure out what to set Sub XOver at. The settings are 100, 150 and 200. As I switch between music, movie and tv, the bass levels keep switching. What is recommended in a room about 16 x 10?

Set it to 100Hz & route all bass to the subs (i.e. set the mains to 'small' if given the option). Room size isn't as important as the capabilities of the speakers and subs. Higher bass frequencies are more easy to localize (not a good thing) so the recommendation is to set the x-over to a setting near 80Hz. Some owners with very large mains choose to set their x-over even lower.

Once set, the bass levels should not be changing. Some frequencies may sound louder than others due to room modes. An SPL meter and test disc will help to diagnose this issue.
