It, of course, depends on the Xvid's initial quality, but a simple way is burn the video to a rewriteable disk (unless you want to save it permanently). I have burned several multi-movie DVDs and a couple CDs with success. The 970's USB slot is not what I'd hoped, but I mean to try it with an external drive and MP3s.

Xvid on Oppo 970HD
So I am trying to find the best way to play Xvid files with my Oppo.
I have had some success putting the files on a 1gig jump drive and plugging it into the USB slot. However, the decoding never looks too great (pretty pixellated image) and the audio can sometimes get pretty off track.
Sometimes the video won't load.. and I just hear audio.
What's the best way to get good looking xvid videos with the 970?
