So I have been looking around at snapstream and sage tv but I can't seem to find any info on re-compressing the mpeg2 files that are outputted from the pvr250 can be converted into Xvid files.



is it possible to get good PQ while having a small file size?

xvid generally looks better I believe, but if you want to record on the fly, you'll need a very fast computer.

Snapstream is working on an update that will include Dibx recompression. It is in beta right now.


I have been using Dr Divx on my PVR250 files for a few months with very good results.
