Hi all, I have a problem with my LG 37LV5590. I bought it through Amazon Germany and I like it so far. The only thing I didn't get working is the PVR functionality.

When I connect an external USB2.0 drive (120gb) to the USB1-port, the TV asks me to initialize it for PVR. When I press OK, it says: "No storage units available". I think I've tried everything and so far without any luck:

- different external harddrives

- firmware update + factory reset

- formatted the hdd to FAT32/NTFS/no partition

Is there anybody who had/has the same problem, or knows a solution. The PVR function should be available for this model, and is also by default enabled in the Service Menu.

Thanks a lot!

Igor

Ok, I just found out it relates to the region where the TV is used. I use it in the Netherlands and there they've blocked it. However, by setting it to for example to Russia, it actually works!

However, most programs can't be recorded due to copyright restrictions

Not surprised. That feature is non-existent in the US, primarilly due to copyright issues.
