I'm trying to buy all the cables I need to set up a set of Energy Take 5's, A Bic- F12 sub, and a denon 1610. Can someone explain to me the purpose of a Y Splitter and if I have to have one, someone said it is needed to utilize LFE, but I am not even sure what LFE is... new at this.

Right now these are the cables/wires I am ordering, am I missing anything to utilize the components above?

No you do not need to use a Y splitter. Some use them to increase the input signal to the sub if there is an issue with the signal being strong enough to trip the subwoofers auto/on circuitry but those are very rare instances. Just get a quality RCA audio cable or if your unsure you can find cables marketed as subwoofer cables like the one below and be sure to get the length you need.

LFE = Low Frequency Effects channel. It is the .1 channel in multi channel recordings that contains bass frequencies.
