Can the pre out RCA jacks be combined using a Y splitter (terminated with three male RCA jacks) so that two pre outs are combined into one channel on the amp?

The center back 1 preout and surround right preout would both go to the surround right on the amp, and the center back 2 preout and surround left preout would both go to the surround left channel on the amp.

Why would you do this? Simply tell the AVR or pre/pro that you do not have back speakers and it will redistribute the signals as needed to the remaining speakers.

Listen to Kal as he speaks the gospel son.

I would also wonder if the combined signal would present an overload to an amp (increased signal voltage?) by combining two channels.
