Looks like i might have the chance to purchase a newly refurb yamaha dpx-1 at a good price. Well I say good price, Lets just say somewhere around an hs10 type price. Can I go wrong with this? I've had an x1 in my house now playing with it and i like it but just seem to want something a little better. I purchased a 110' firehawk screen as I have some ambient light issues and i just think now at night the x1 is just not enough projector for that big of screen. On hdtv like hdnet it looks great, but they must do something to the brightness because most other channels look dim to me. Dvd can be really dim. I'm sure it might have something to do with the screen being grey and all but I'm kinda new at this so i'm learning as I go.
Any advice would be appreciated. I need to stay in the 1000-2500 range with the cost of the mount. Oh btw the screen is 16x9 also. thanks again
