Hi, guys. My computer sound card optical output is capable of producing variable sampling rate up to 192kHz. My Yamaha HTR-5930 5.1 receiver is capable of accepting all PCM formats at 96kHz. When I feed in the signal at 96kHz, I get only only 2 stereo channels unless I drop the sampling rate to 48kHz or lower then I get 5.1 channels. Is this normal, guys? At 96kHz, everything gets locked up, the receiver would absolutely refuse to produce 5.1 stereo channels. All that it will show is 2 stereo channels. I want to get all 5.1 stereo channels to be produced at 96kHz. How do I work around this issue? Thanks.
