First time post...  Just unboxed my new Yamaha RX-A2020 pluged it in and it powered up..  Messed around with it for a minute then unplugged it.  Hooked everything up and double checked the connections and went to power it up and aqll i got was a flashing light on the power button.  Unhooked everything including power hoping it would reset.  Waited 10 minutes and tried to power it up with nothing hooked up to it and still get nothing but a flshing red light on the power button.  Any suggestions would help alot...  Im thinking i have a bad receiver.

Sounds like your receiver is in protection mode from some sort of failure. If you setup hdmi passthrough you should be able to still switch hdmi inputs with the receiver off and in this state. If it is hooked up to your network, you should also be able to browse the web page for controlling your receiver. However at this point it's probably best to get it serviced or exchanged.
