Tomorrow my RX-A3020 arrives. I've already downloaded the owners manual and have begun to read what this baby can do.

I also realize that any electronics, whether it be a computer or an a/v receiver, there will be setup issues, usage inquiries, and those dreaded problems of things not working right.

This will be my personal experience sharing thread with my RX-A3020. I would love for other owners to jump on in and share their experiences both good and bad.

I'll start with a question (it's a generic one): is there a reason why one would hook up the speakers with banana plugs versus bare wire method?

I realize there is an "official" 1020,2020,3020 thread started back in 2012, but it's long and diluted. Just trying to keep it fresh, and hopefully you understand since the unit will be new to me tomorrow, I'm excited. I'd like to keep this thread specific to 3020 (and 1020 & 2020) owners past & present.

Plugs are faster to insert and remove. Bare wire is harder to install, but more secure. Better to post questions in the main thread and search for answers in that thread. 3020 is a nice unit.
