I have a Squeezebox Duet that is connected via optical cable to the Yamaha RX-V1800. I'm thinking of getting a Beresford 7520 DAC and put it in between the Duet and the Yamaha.
I was wondering if anyone has experience with both the Beresford 7520 and the RX-V1800. Specifically, which DAC will sound better with music coming from the Duet? Is the Beresford 7520 noticeably better than the Yamaha, or I'm better off just using the Yamaha's built in DAC?
