After getting some thoughts in another thread, I thought I would post in order to get people's thoughts between these two receivers.


I'm using CDT-5800s for 5.1 and am unsure of which receiver to go with.

I personally would say the denon.

More bang for buck.

Better design, better features, etc


have you considered Onkyo 807/1007 have a look.

I hadn't considered it, but I will have a look. Are Onkyo's considered warm receivers or are they bright? My Klipsch speakers are bright so I want a warm receiver to compensate.

I'd say Warm. You could fry eggs on my Onk 606

I think he means warm or bright sound.

I have an Onkyo 607 and I don't really consider it warm or bright. I'd say neutral.
