Both of these units are similar in price and features and I honestly don't need anything more expensive. Is there a particular reason to choose one versus the other besides the number of inputs they can handle? My particular setup will be as follows:
Samsung DBT H260F (via component or HDMI)=> receiver =>TV via component
PS3=============(via component or HDMI)=> receiver
Wii===============via component=======> receiver
DVD player========= via component======> receiver
The TV is an older CRT with no HDMI so I'll be using the component output of the receiver with possible new HDMI TV at a later date. I'll run the audio from the receiver to a 5.1 speaker setup.
Do these a/v receivers convert HDMI input to component when setup this way?
