Hello

 

I am new in this forum, but I have an issue that I have been struggling with and if anyone can help me I would really appreciate it.  I have a new Yamaha RX V375 receiver.  It is great, however, when I try to configure the speakers I get a " not available " message on the front display.  I get this message only when I try to configure the speakers.  Has anyone else out there had this problem or can help me resolve this problem ?

The only "not available" in the manual is the extra bass setting.

Is this where you are in the menu? If not be more specific.

If yes it is about speakers set to small or large.

thanks for the post.  I have resolved the problem. It was pretty simple:  I forgot and left the headphones connected to the headphone jack and thus disabled the speakers.

Cool. That will do it. Some people ask how to use headphones and

speakers at the same time. Other than activating zone 2, can't do that.

Ah !  That is interesting !  I am pretty ignorant about technological features of some of this technology, can you please explain what do you mean about zone  "2" ?

A few levels above the 375 can play stereo audio in another room independent of what

is going on in zone 1. Some very expensive models can even play 2 independent video

sources in 2 different rooms. And some extremely expensive receivers can send stereo

audio to a third zone. The most common zone 2 would be a patio etc.
